Lol i speedrunnned this game and its really cool i knew how to get the good ending. first get Hugo in then save Onna and then finish it's short yeah but it's cool. GOODWORK!!!
I struggled at first because I didn't have the updated version, but once I fixed it, I had a very good time ! Love the characters, the ambiance, the idea, the hints for when stuff is about to hit the fan, and I love my neighbor 😉
pretty good, especially for a jam game! The art was especially charming, and horrifying. I will say though, I wish that it had gotten more into the infection aspect and been more consistent with its own rules.
[Spoilers]
When the player gets infected, they seem to go from stage 1 to stage 3 immediately, and the only symptom they ever seem to have is dizziness. Was expecting the game to play up the hallucinations and paranoia with things like fake phone calls and visitors. You also only get infected by 1. messing up Onna's answers (this was really clever, and I would love to see more games do this), 2. not letting Hugo in so he breaks in, or 3. letting Ray in. I was just sure that letting Hugo in after you give him the towel would have meant he was infected, which means you are infected, which means you get to slowly go mad as the symptoms take hold. I would also expect him to exhibit some of the symptoms besides stage 3. And, as mentioned by another comment, since the spore storm event lasted the whole night and it was nearly morning by the time you let Hugo in if you've given him the towel, it really does seem strange that he's not infected. If any of this was intended to be explained by hallucinations, having the player character dialog indicate "severe paranoia" and an inexplicable desire to socialize would go a long way. The options filling up with "somewhere high" after you're already stage 3 was a good demonstration of it, but it was too little too late, imo.
I also would have liked to see more ARG elements in the website, rather than just an external version of the manual in the game files. But I understand that this was on a strict time budget since it was made for a jam--with what you had to work with, it really is nice, and I look forward to your future projects where you have the opportunity to expand on such mechanics. Keep up the good work!
Hi! First of all, we want to apologize for the late reply. We have been very busy with the event and the new project. We wanted to give you a proper answer. To start, thank you so much for playing our game ♡. We greatly appreciate the criticism of the players so that we can improve and make better games in the future. As you mention, we had a limited time to make the game. We would have liked to add situations that would show more how the stages of infection work in our protagonists or, perhaps, clarify a little more how exactly it worked.
For our next game (Prequel to Mycopsychosys) we want to explain very well how the infection works and visually show what the stages are like. We are taking into account all the players' doubts to be able to give them an answer.
We hope you are encouraged to try our next game when it is released and, if you want to join us in this process, I invite you to join our Discord!
I would absolutely love to see a remaster of this game that expands on it and makes it into a more full experience. Almost how Sacrifices Must be Made was an incredible game that got made into Inscryption. Both were great, but how Inscryption expanded on it made it even better. I wouldn't expect multiple nights or anything, but more things to do, maybe a way to actually get your neighbour safely to your house and how her being there might change things. Hallucinations that may or may not indicate an infection. There's lots of places to go.
This was such a fascinating game. There are so many small details that I fawn over. I saw it on YouTube and had to play it for myself. Since I'm currently able to, I decided to donate $2.00. The updated version that added the extra endings are what made me want to do that. Thank you for this lovely visual novel. <3
Thank you so much for your donation and your kind words! We're also working on a prequel for Mycopsychosys, you can check our profile if you're interested!
Hello! This sometimes can happen with Ren'py games and other external software. We can assure you it has zero risk, but if you want to feel safer you can always scan the game at virustotal.com to check for yourself that there's nothing dangerous in it!
You made a whole website and a analog horror video for the game?! Now that’s what I call “increasing the customer value”!
I really like the art of this vn, the whole setting is also very appealing, outstanding work!
Now, I will share my experience and a walkthrough of the vn here, I hope that this helps you improve.
SPOILERS BELOW!!!
I watched the video and read the whole website. Alright, I’m ready!
[1st run]: Saved Onna, avoided Ray and … got killed by Hugo?. Damn, what did I miss? the towel? it passed through the door slit! The slit was there all the time! And I never touched Hugo… or did I?
[2nd run]: Ignored the towel request and Hugo still killed me! What did I do wrong!!! T_T
[3rd run]: This isn’t working, maybe Hugo made it on time to my basement?, on this run I let him inside the house immediately and-… it worked? no f*cking way… Uh, ignored the alarm system, let Hugo out, got Onna out of the bathroom. Obtained 3rd ending. Wait, there are 2 others? Hmm…
[4th run]: No way. It doesn’t matter how much time Hugo stays on the open basement, give him a towel and make him promise you a beer, then let him inside your house, save (or not) Onna, and you get the other endings. (5th is best)
The game doesn’t follow the rules of the spores dev. That is extremely important in a game like this.
Spores are only 4 microns; only one is enough to get infected; symptoms appear in only a few minutes; the door of the basement was broken AND in the 5th ending MC says that the sporestorm was through all night; if I get out when the alarm sounds, we will see the sunrise!. That means only one thing: we have to save Hugo almost at the end of the sporestorm, he was there for hours, without a mask.
Is not only the serious inconsistencies, you’re rewarding players for being careless in a extremely dangerous situation.
Sigh… despite that, is still a great vn, I had fun. Just be more careful with the consistency in a future game please. :(
Hi, just wanted to say that you three have made an amazing game, and I look forward to future updates, it’s such a good concept. I hope ya’ll make it big with this game.

I just downloaded the game, but windows blocked it, says it may put my pc at risk. What should I do?
